The Company has been informed that on 11 October 2005, Alan Barber, a
non-executive director of the Company, purchased a total of 108,000 ordinary
shares of 25 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') at an average price of 49.45 pence
per Ordinary Share. Following this purchase Mr Barber is beneficially interested
in 108,000 Ordinary Shares representing 0.057 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company.
