FURTHER ENCOURAGING DRILLING RESULTS FROM KING GEORGE-LARJOR

Mano River Resources has completed a 19 hole programme of diamond core
drilling at its King George-Larjor property in western Liberia. Encouraging
results from the initial six holes of this programme were previously reported
in Mano's press releases of March 16th and April 6th. Assay data have been
received for a further eight drill holes, the excellent results from holes
KGD-13 and -14 in particular confirming the economic potential of the Larjor
zone. The results for the eight holes are:

KGD-6 28-34m 6m @ 6.3 g/t gold
   and 68-76m 8m @ 2.8 g.t gold
   and 82-84m 2m 5.5 g/t gold

KGD-7 30-32m 2m @ 2.9 g/t gold

KGD-8 34-48m 14m @ 5.8 g/t gold

KGD-9 42-44m 2m @ 5.5 g/t gold

KGD-11 0- 8m 8m @ 0.4 g/t gold

KGD-12 14-26m 12m @ 1.9 g/t gold

KGD-13 20-46m 26m @ 6.2 g/t gold

KGD-14 26-34m 8m @ 12.1 g/t gold

Taken in conjunction with earlier holes previously reported on, the results
from KGD-7, -8, -9, -11, -13 and -14 appear to confirm the Larjor zone of
mineralisation as having a strike length of approximately 300m. The average
true thickness and grade for this zone, based on the weighted average of
intersections obtained in five contiguous drill holes spaced 50m apart, is
presently estimated to be 11.6m @ 7.3 g/t gold. Holes KGD-11 and KGD-12 are
located beyond the eastern and western extremities respectively of the Larjor
artisanal working, and appear to define the lateral limits of this gold zone.

Hole KGD-6, drilled below the central section of the King George artisanal
working, returned an upper intersection of 6m @ 6.3 g/t gold together with two
further deeper zones of mineralisation between 68m and 84m downhole. These
latter are the first indications of the presence of multiple sub-parallel
zones of gold mineralisation at King George Larjor.

Results from the remaining five drill holes of the programme, three of which
test the King George zone while two investigate the area between the Larjor
and King George workings, are expected before month end. A map showing the
collar locations of all the holes drilled on the project is available from any
of the contacts listed below.

In addition to the drill testing of King George-Larjor, Mano's reconnaissance
programme of mapping, sampling and drilling is ongoing at a range of promising
gold targets elsewhere in western Liberia.

Mano River Resources aims to create shareholder value through the
identification, exploration and development of high quality mineral deposits
in the West African Mano River Union countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and
Guinea. The Company having made its pioneering entry into Liberia in 1995,
Mano River's exploration efforts are currently concentrated on its extensive
licences in the west of the country, which are underlain by Archaean terrain
including greenstone sequences considered comparable to those of the Lake
Victoria gold province in Tanzania.
