                     Appointment of Non-executive Director



London, UK, 11 June, 2007 - Lipoxen plc, a biopharmaceutical company
specialising in the development of high value differentiated biologicals,
vaccines and oncology drugs, announces, the appointment of Firdaus Jal Dastoor
(54) as a Non-executive Director effective from today.



Mr Dastoor has been appointed to the Board as the representative of the Serum
Institute of India Limited ("SIIL"). SIIL was granted the right to appoint a
non-executive Director to the Board as part of the strategic placing and warrant
agreement announced in August 2006. SIIL's right to appoint a non-executive
Director is conditional on it holding no less than 12% of the total issued share
capital of the Company.



Serum Institute of India Limited is a member company of the Poonawalla
Investments and Industries PVT. Ltd Group ('PIIPL'), which comprises of a group
of companies located in India and elsewhere with interests in engineering
products, life sciences and biotech, international trade and financial services.
  SIIL's total directly held shareholding amounts to 21.3% of the issued share
capital of the Company.  In addition, PIIPL itself currently holds circa 3.2% of
the Company's equity.



Firdaus Dastoor is a Group Director of the Poonawalla Group of Companies and is
responsible for Finance and Corporate Affairs and holds a degree in commerce
from The University of Poona; he is also a Fellow of the Institute of Company
Secretaries of India.



Information about his current and previous directorships is given below. The
Company confirms that there are no other matters requiring disclosure in
relation to Rule 17 and schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules.



Resignation of Non-executive Director



The Board announces that it has today accepted the resignation of Dr Giap Wang
Chong from his position as a Non-executive Director of the Company. Dr Chong has
served in this capacity since August 2005 and the Board wishes him every success
in the future.
