Lonrho Plc (the "Company") today announces that further to its announcement of
23 July 2007, the Company has made application for 1,500,000 ordinary shares,
which were issued and allotted as a bonus award to a consultant to be admitted
to trading on AIM.

It is expected that dealings in these new ordinary shares, which will rank pari
passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares, will commence on Friday
17 August 2007.
