Notice of Court Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting on 28 September 2007
relating to proposed return of capital



Further to the announcement of 17 August 2007 which sets out the proposed return
to shareholders of approximately #41 million, the Board of Luminar plc
("Luminar") has today posted a circular ("Scheme Circular") to shareholders
containing details of the return and giving notice of a Court meeting and
Extraordinary General Meeting to approve the proposals, both of which are to be
held at the offices of CMS Cameron McKenna LLP at Mitre House, 160 Aldersgate
Street, London EC1A 4DD on 28 September 2007 commencing at 9.30am.  At the same
time, Luminar is posting related documentation to warrantholders ("Warrant
Circular") and to optionholders.



Copies of the Scheme Circular and the Warrant Circular have been submitted to
the UK Listing Authority, and will shortly be available for inspection at the
Document Viewing Facility, which is situated at:
