On 27 March 1998, the Board of The Longmead Group Plc approved an  exercise of
options by Paul Tipping, a director of the Company to subscribe for 7,500
ordinary shares at 58 pence per share.  Application will be made to admit
these shares to trading on the Alternative Investment Market.
