The Company has been informed that Ray Newman, Chairman of the Company, has
purchased 8,108 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 32p per share on
23 December 1999.

Ray Newman now has a beneficial interest in 1,317,078 ordinary shares
representing 36.5% of the Company's issued share capital.  In addition, Mr
Newman has a non-beneficial interest in 620,000 ordinary shares representing
17.2% of the Company's issued share capital.
