                         IN MEMORY OF SVEN SKARENDAHL

It is with deep sadness that Libertas Capital Group plc ("Libertas Capital"),
(AIM: LBR), the international financial services firm, announces that Mr Sven
Skarendahl, a non-executive board member, passed away on 25th January 2008 after
a period of illness.


Mr Skarendahl has played an important role to Libertas Capital as senior adviser
since the AIM flotation in July 2004 and since October 2004 as a non-executive
director and as non-executive chairman of Libertas Capital Nordic AB.


During Mr Skarendahl's involvement within Libertas Capital, the Group has
experienced significant growth and development. Mr Skarendahl was active not
only on the board but also in operations, particularly within the Nordic region
and in the technology and medical technology sectors.  His experience, business
knowledge and deep commitment have contributed greatly to Libertas Capital's
success.


Mr Skarendahl will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him.  His
wisdom, experience, professionalism, loyalty, congeniality and sense of humour
will always be remembered by us here at Libertas Capital.

an intelligent, well educated and trusted board member.  His contributions

that all my colleagues agree that we have lost a man of high integrity with whom
it was fun to work.  We express our sincere and profound condolences to his dear
