KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the Company) (AIM: KDC)

The Company hereby advises that it has received a notice of initial significant
holder from JPMorgan Chase & Co and its affiliates (JPMorgan)of Columbus, Ohio.
JPMorgan became a substantial holder in the Company on 6 September 2007 when it
acquired 21,543,472 shares representing 5.02 percent of the Company's issued
