KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the "Company")

ASX & AIM Announcement

COMPLETION OF SHARE PLACEMENT

Further to the Company's ASX Announcement of 27 November 2006 and Appendix 3B
dated 30 November 2006, the Board is pleased to advise that the share placement
of 30,000,000 ordinary shares at an issue price of A$0.85 per share to raise
$25,500,000 (before expenses of the issue) has been completed. The shares were
issued to professional and sophisticated investors in accordance with the
Corporations Act 2001.

The placement was managed by Argonaut Limited.

The Company gives notice that:

  * the securities were issued without disclosure to investors under Part 6D.2
    of the Corporations Act 2001 (the Act);
   
  * this notice is given under section 708A(5)(e) of the Act;
   
  * as at the date of this notice, the Company has complied with the provisions
    of Chapter 2M of the Act as they apply to the Company and section 674 of
    the Act; and
   
  * as at the date of this notice, there is no excluded information which is
    required to be set out in this notice pursuant to section 708A(6)(e).
