Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification yesterday
from Mr P.K.C. Gibbs, a director of the Company, that he purchased 250,000
Geared Growth shares in the Company on 12th April 2005 at 50.75p per share and
sold 479,551 Zero Dividend Preference shares at 63.5p . Following these
transactions he is now interested in a total of 4,479,551 Geared Growth shares
and no further Zero Dividend Preference shares in the Company representing 2.39%
of the total voting rights in the Company.

There are 93,859,265 Geared Growth shares and 93,859,265 Zero Dividend
Preference shares in issue. On a poll each Geared Growth share carries one vote
and each Zero Dividend Preference share carries one vote. The Packaged Units
consist of one Geared Growth share and one Zero Dividend Preference share.
