Issue of Options under Savings Related Share Option Scheme

                              Jarvis plc ('the Company')


The Company confirms it has today issued a total of 3,200,213 options over
ordinary shares of 5p each at an exercise price of 70p under the Jarvis plc 1998
Savings Related Share Option Scheme ('the Share Option Scheme'), amendments to
which were approved by shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on
19 October 2005. The options granted will be exercisable between June and
December 2009.

The Company confirms that it has also been notified that the following Directors
and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities have today been issued, and
therefore acquired, the undernoted options under the Share Option Scheme:

     Steven Norris               13,357 options
     Richard Entwistle           13,357 options
     Michael Houghton            13,357 options
     Kjell Karlsen               5,342 options
     Andrew Martin               10,685 options
     Geoff Mason                 4,274 options
     Pat McHale                  5,342 options
     Adrian O'Shea               10,685 options
     Bernard Westbrook           13,357 options.
