INDIGOVISION SIGNS MULTI-MILLON DOLLAR LICENSING DEAL WITH TOP US CCTV PLAYER

*   Ultrak to create 19 new products for digital CCTV, powered by VideoBridge(R)

Edinburgh, 12/07/2001 - IndigoVision Group plc, a leading supplier of video
intellectual property, has signed a multi-million dollar licensing agreement
with top US-based security and surveillance company Ultrak Inc. to incorporate
IndigoVision's VideoBridge(R) technology into Ultrak's entire new range of
digital CCTV products.

Ray Payne, Senior VP Engineering, of Ultrak said, "We do about $200m in sales
of our CCTV, Access Control and Audio lines. We are a global company offering
global solutions Ultrak aim to stay at the forefront of this business while
maintaining interoperability with our analog solutions. Our primary objective
in selecting a technology partner was to choose the one we believe will become
the de facto standard. In our opinion IndigoVision is by far the closest to
this."

licensing IndigoVision's technology, Ultrak is taking advantage of nearly 200
man-years of development allowing it to achieve fast time to market and vendor
interoperability. VideoBridge technology minimises Ultrak's R&D cost & risk
whilst allowing the company to differentiate its products from its
competitors'. The benefits to Ultrak's customers will include digital quality,
a straightforward migration path from analogue to digital, lower overall
system cost, reduced operating costs and new applications not previously
possible with analogue.

Ultrak will incorporate VideoBridge(R) into a complete suite of nineteen new
digital CCTV products including IP networked cameras, networked video
recorders, digital televisions, administration workstations, PC viewing
software and analogue-to-digital converters, with a roadmap to wireless
cameras and handheld viewers.

Oliver Vellacott, CEO of IndigoVision said: "The deal with Ultrak  is a major
win for us and takes IndigoVision a significant step closer to establishing
VideoBridge(R) as a worldwide industry standard in digital CCTV."

IndigoVision has already signed licensing agreements with Panasonic, Baxall,
Cirrus Logic and Videology, and has a further 72 application partners building
systems based on VideoBridge products.
