interactive investor international plc ("Interactive Investor") (LSE: IIN.L)
(http://www.iii.co.uk) announces that at the Extraordinary General Meeting
held on Friday 10 August 2001, shareholders voted to change the name of the
company to Interactive Investor plc.

Interactive Investor was notified on 10 August 2001 of the following dealings
by directors.  On 10 August 2001, Tomas Carruthers exercised options over
4,398,000 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 1 pence per share, Max
Ashton exercised options over 2,352,873 ordinary shares at an exercise price
of 20.4 pence per share and Julian Jaffe exercised options over 227,670
ordinary shares at a total exercise price of #1 in aggregate and options over
1,572,330 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 1 pence per share.

Interactive Investor also announces that, with effect from 10 August 2001, Tim
Wade, Tom Fraser, and Joanna Varley have been appointed as directors of the
company.  In addition, it is expected that Brendan Meehan will join the board
of Interactive Investor with effect from 1 October 2001.

There are no disclosures required to be made in respect of Tim Wade, Tom
Fraser, Joanna Varley or Brendan Meehan under paragraphs 6.F.2(b) to (g) of
the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
