INTERACTIVE INVESTOR INTERNATIONAL PLC
TRADING UPDATE

In our statement of interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2000
released on 18 May 2000, we stated that the overall level of activity through
our site was strong in the first half of the fiscal year ended 31 March 2000
and that the focus of our activities in the second half would be on driving
advertising and transaction-related revenues.

Since March, there has been a significant decline in equity market activity
worldwide from record levels earlier in the year.  This has depressed
transaction volumes and related revenues and, in particular, the revenues we
derive from equity transactions, the retail placement of shares in initial
public offerings and subscriptions.  In addition, capacity constraints
suffered by many private client brokers earlier in the year have continued to
affect broker sponsorships on our site and the revenues we derive from the
construction and operation of equity trading systems has also been affected.
As a result, we expect our revenues in the second half of the year to show
relatively modest growth over our revenues in the first half.

As at 31 May 2000, we had cash balances of #65 million.  We continue actively
to monitor our operating expenses including our marketing programmes in order
to ensure the effectiveness of our marketing spend.  Increased emphasis will
now be placed on strengthening the Company's presence in the UK market and
managing its available cash resources so as to ensure achievement of our
business plan.

In May 2000, our web site had 3.8 million visits, 1.3 million unique users
and generated 43 million page impressions for the month.  Our user base of
registered accounts continues to grow, reaching 1.1 million at 31 May 2000.
