Hansen Transmissions International NV announces:
* Appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer
* New Chief Financial Officer starts today
Edegem/Antwerp, Belgium - London, UK - 1 September 2010 - Hansen Transmissions
International NV ("Hansen", "the Group" or "the Company") is pleased to announce
the appointment of Mr. Mohan Nagamangala Srinivasan as Chief Operating Officer
("COO") of the Company.
Mohan, 48, was one of the first executives hired by Hansen in India in November
2007. He joined as executive Director of Hansen's Wind Gearbox Plant in
Coimbatore, India. As an executive Director and member of the Board of Hansen
Drives Ltd, a subsidiary of Hansen Transmissions, he has been key to the
successful development of the Coimbatore manufacturing facility. Previously,
Mohan had more than 20 years experience in the automotive component industry,
holding senior management positions in companies including Visteon, as MD in
Thailand and MICO, a Bosch company. His work has focused on improving
operational efficiency and the successful completion of major capital investment
projects in both auto components and renewable energy, both in India and
internationally.
Mohan will be based in Belgium and will join the Executive Committee of Hansen
Transmissions International NV. He replaces Cliff Dawson who has decided to
retire on 1 November 2010.

operational processes and for successfully implementing new quality systems in
Hansen's Wind Gearbox plants in Belgium, India and China. I am confident that
Mohan, with his excellent track record in the automotive component industry and
his proven achievements within Hansen, is the right person to take over from
Cliff. He brings dynamism and experience to the role and I look forward to
working with him in his new position, where he will be responsible for
increasing operational efficiency, with a continued focus on quality, cost and
delivery at Hansen's wind gearbox manufacturing facilities".

In addition, Hansen confirms that Jan Willem Ruinemans starts as CFO of the
Company today.
