HSBC Global Absolute Limited (the "Company") announces that it has accepted in 
full the following shares tendered to it at the applicable net asset value per 
share as at 31 December 2009: 
 
 
1,880,725 Sterling hedged shares at a price of GBP 0.9399 per Sterling hedged 
share. 
 
 
4,136,775 US dollar shares at a price of USD 1.7619 per US dollar share. 
 
 
As a result of this tender offer, the Company holds 1,692,662 Sterling hedged 
shares and 3,723,105 US dollar shares in treasury.  Immediately following the 
tender offer the Company's issued share capital will consist of 16,926,624 
Sterling hedged shares (excluding treasury shares), 37,231,054 US dollar shares 
(excluding treasury shares), and 11,517,819 Euro hedged shares (excluding 
treasury shares). 
Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 16,926,624 for the 
Sterling hedged class, 37,231,054 for the US dollar class and 11,517,819 for the 
Euro hedged class. These figures may be used by shareholders as the denominator 
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify 
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's 
Disclosure and Transparency rules.
