REGULATORY ANNOUNCEMENT

In accordance with the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and
Transparency Rules, the Company advises that its issued share capital comprises
402,862,376 ordinary shares of R0.50 each. The voting rights of all of these
shares are identical with each share carrying the right to one vote. The
Company holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their
interest or any change to their interest in Harmony under the Disclosure and
Transparency Rules.
