HERCULES PROPERTY SERVICES PLC ("Hercules" or the "Company")
AMENDMENT TO EARLIER ANNOUNCEMENT

It has come to the Company's attention that the announcement made this morning
in respect of the recommended offer made by Guinness Mahon & Co, on behalf of
Hercules Property Services PLC for David Glass Associates plc ("David
Glass") (the "Offer") and the associated placing and open offer (the "Placing
and Open Offer") contained an error in respect of the terms of the Open Offer.

Paragraph 10 of that announcement, which sets out the basic terms of the Open
Offer, stated that Qualifying shareholders may apply for new Hercules shares
under the Open Offer on the basis of "5.885 Open Offer Shares for every 10
Hercules Shares held.."

The correct wording, that reflects the true basis of the Open Offer as set out
in the prospectus being sent to Hercules shareholders today, reads as follows:

"6 Open Offer Shares for every 17  Hercules Shares held.."
