HIDEFIELD GOLD PLC

ISSUE OF EQUITY

Hidefield Gold plc (the "Company" or "Hidefield") announces that on 3 July 2006
it issued and allotted 15,000 ordinary shares at a price of 9.375p per share to
each of Robert Ashley and Francis Johnstone, both of whom are Non-Executive
Directors of the Company, in lieu of directors' fees.

Following the issue, Robert Ashley is interested in 295,000 shares in the
Company (representing 0.13 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital), of
which 225,000 are held in the name of Dewden Pty Limited, and Francis Johnstone
is interested in 1,595,000 shares (representing 0.69 per cent. of the enlarged
issued share capital), of which 1,500,000 shares are held in the name of Rock
Capital Partners Limited.

Application will be made for the 30,000 new shares to be admitted to AIM and it

is expected that admission will occur on 7 July 2006.
