Hellenic Carriers Limited, ("Hellenic" or the "Company") (AIM:
HCL) announces the appointment of Mr. Alkis Papadopoulos, as new
Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Papadopoulos will join
the Board of Directors with effect from 1(st) June 2014.
Elpida Kyriakopoulou is resigning from the position of Chief
Financial Officer due to family relocation and is stepping down as
a Director of the Company with effect from 31(st) May 2014.
Mr. Alkis Papadopoulos, (aged 41), was previously employed with
Ernst & Young from 2001 and since 2007 held the position of
Senior Manager in the Shipping Industry Group, involved in the IPO
preparation and auditing of shipping companies listed in the UK and
US stock exchanges. Mr. Papadopoulos is a member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) since 1998.
Mr. Papadopoulos does not hold, nor has he held, any other
directorships in the previous five years.
The Board expresses its gratitude to Mrs. Kyriakopoulou for her
contribution to the Company since 2008 and wishes her well in her
future life and career. The Board also welcomes Mr. Papadopoulos to
the Company.
Save for the declarations above, there is no further information
to be disclosed under Rule 17 or Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the
AIM Rules for Companies.

subsidiaries a fleet of dry bulk vessels that transport iron ore,
coal, grain, steel products, cement, alumina, and other dry bulk
cargoes worldwide. The fleet consists of six vessels, including one
Panamax, two Supramax, one Handymax and two Kamsarmax vessels with
an aggregate carrying capacity of 384,864 dwt and a weighted
average age of 10.3 years.
