                         GLOBAL ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PLC

                              EXERCISE OF OPTIONS


Global Energy Development PLC (the "Company") announces that following receipt
of notices to exercise options at an exercise price of 50p and 151.1p, the
Company has allotted and issued credited as fully paid 88,347 new ordinary
shares in the Company (the "New Shares").


Application has been made for the New Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM
and admission is expected to occur on 21 March 2006. The new ordinary shares
will rank pari passu with the existing shares of the Company.


Following admission, the issued share capital of the Company will be 35,323,777
ordinary shares.
