Notification of substantial Interest in shares

The Future Network plc (LSE; FNET) announced, on 7 March 2002, that it had
received notification that Deutsche Bank AG held a notifiable interest in
34,384,454 ordinary shares of The Future Network plc.  On the basis of the
issued share capital of The Future Network plc of 320,917,531 ordinary shares at
that date, this interest represented 10.71% of such relevant share capital.

The Future Network plc received notification, on 12 March 2002, from Deutsche
Bank AG advising that, as at 12 March 2002, it had ceased to hold a notifiable
interest in the relevant share capital of The Future Network plc for the
purposes of section 198-202 of the UK Companies Act 1985.
