The Future Network plc (LSE: FNET), the specialist consumer magazines and

where she had overall responsibility for Sky's programming business. She
currently holds no other directorships.

Over the past five years Elisabeth has held directorships in the following

Ltd; Granada Sky Broadcasting Ltd; National Geographic Channel UK;

launched in the UK in May.

Commenting on her appointment Elisabeth Murdoch says:

"I am delighted to be joining such a dynamic media business at such an
exciting time. Future has been a pioneer in the publishing industry in the
way it is embracing the new economy, both in terms of introducing new
magazines, such as Business 2.0, and in the way it is harnessing the
potential of the Internet itself as a publishing medium. I look forward to
bringing my own experience to the Board and to assisting Future in its
continued development as a world class magazine and online media company."

Future's Chief Executive Greg Ingham adds:

"We are thrilled that Elisabeth has agreed to join the Future Board, which
in many ways demonstrates how far we have come over the past year. The
more we develop our network business model, the more we are attracting
quality people and business opportunities to the organisation. Elisabeth
is one of the world's smartest media executives and her extensive
experience and broad range of industry contacts will be of tremendous
benefit to Future going forward. We very much look forward to working with
her in the development of our exciting plans for the business."
