                       Acquisition of notifiable interest

This announcement replaces the announcement entitled "Expomedia Group plc -
Holding(s) in Company" released on the RNS System under the announcement number
8081Q on 31 January 2002 at 15.19 GMT. The full amended text of the announcement
appears below containing details of when Expomedia Group plc was notified of the
interest and reference to when the interest was acquired.

Further to the announcement dated 22 January 2002 regarding the issue of new
ordinary shares in Expomedia Group plc ("Expomedia" or the "Company") to ABN
AMRO Capital and Stancroft Trust Limited, the Company was notified on 30 January
2002 pursuant to Section 198 (1) of the Companies Act 1985 that ABN AMRO Danube
Ventures B.V. now holds 6,465,373 ordinary shares of 5p each of Expomedia
representing approximately 19.92% of the Company's issued share capital.

These 6,465,373 ordinary shares of 5p each of Expomedia were admitted to trading
on the Alternative Investment Market on 25 January 2002.
