e-quisitor becomes eq group



The board of eq group plc (previously e-quisitor plc) announces that the company
has formally changed its name to eq group plc with effect from today. This
follows approval from shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on Monday
29 July.



The London Stock Exchange TIDM ("EQI") for the company will remain unchanged.



All businesses within the group will continue to trade under their respective
company names, however the words "an eq group company" will be added to
marketing collateral to demonstrate their association with the parent company.



Shareholdings are unaffected by the name change and existing share certificates
should be retained, as they will remain valid for all purposes. Any new share
certificates issued on or after 30th July 2002 will bear the company's new name.
