                                 AGM Statement

The Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of eq group plc took place at 11.30 am today,
25 April 2005.

eq is a marketing services group that enables major organisations to make
intelligent marketing decisions.

At the AGM, non-executive Chairman, Phillip Bennett, said:

"I am pleased to report that trading in the first three months of the year has
exceeded our expectations. Margin improvement measures at Quaestor and strong
top-line growth at Buckingham Research contributed to a good first quarter. The
outlook for the first half of the year remains positive.

Our primary focus this year is on expanding our existing businesses where we
believe there are significant growth opportunities but we will continue to look
for suitable acquisition opportunities."
