Endeavour Announces Closing of Common Stock Offering and Full 
                      Exercise of Over-Allotment Option 
 
    HOUSTON, March 31, 2011 -- Endeavour International Corporation (NYSE: 
END) (LSE: ENDV) today announces the closing of its previously-announced 
public offering of 11,500,000 shares of its common stock, which includes 
1,500,000 shares issued and sold pursuant to the full exercise of the 
underwriters' over-allotment option. Endeavour intends to use the net 
proceeds from the offering to retire all $81.3 million of its 6% Convertible 
Senior Notes due 2012. The remaining net proceeds will be used for general 
corporate purposes. 
 
    Citigroup Global Markets Inc. acted as sole book-running manager for the 
offering. Canaccord Genuity Inc., C. K. Cooper & Company, Global Hunter 
Securities, LLC and Rodman & Renshaw, LLC acted as co-managers for the
