                            Resignation of Director

European Goldfields Limited (AIM: EGU / TSX-V: EGU) (the "Company") announces
that Mr. Eduardo Baer has resigned as Director, President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Company, effective today. Mr. Baer will be replaced as President
on an interim basis by David Grannell, Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
The Company is actively seeking to appoint a new CEO in the near future.

The Company wishes to thank Mr. Baer for his contribution in the recent
development of the Company and for the role he has played in recent financings.

European Goldfields is a resource company involved in the acquisition,
exploration and development of mineral properties in Romania, Greece and the
Balkans.
