Holdings in Company

Coal of Africa Limited (the "Company") was notified on 5 February 2013 by Investec Limited ("Investec") that, as at 29 January 2013, Investec held 42,649,286 ordinary shares of nil par value each in the Company, representing 5.01 per cent of the Company's issued share capital at that date. Following the issue of shares to Haohua Energy International (Hong Kong) Resource Co. Limited, as announced on 4 February 2013, Investec's holding now represents 4.06 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
