                                Grant of Options

Following approval given by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 1 July
2002, the Company has today granted the following options over ordinary shares
of 1p each to the Directors of the Company as follows:

Options granted under the EMI Scheme are exercisable in 3 tranches. Each tranche
is a third of the Director's total grant and are exercisable from 2 August 2003,
2 August 2004 and 2 August 2005 respectively and up to 1 August 2012 inclusive,
except Mr Horsman's whose options under this scheme are exercisable from the
date of grant. All options granted under the Unapproved Scheme are exercisable
from the date of grant up to 1 August 2012 inclusive.
