Doug Pertz Appointed CEO of Clipper Windpower Plc;
James G.P. Dehlsen Continues as Chairman of the Board

London, (UK), Carpinteria, CA (USA) - 24 September 2008. Clipper Windpower Plc ('Clipper'), a wind turbine manufacturer and wind project
developer, announces the following management change: Doug Pertz appointed as CEO and James G.P. Dehlsen continues as Chairman of the Board.

Effective September 23, 2008, Mr. James G.P. Dehlsen concludes his role as Chief Executive Officer of Clipper Windpower Plc; he will
continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Douglas Pertz is appointed by the Board of Directors as the new President and
Chief Executive Officer of Clipper.

Mr. Pertz is an experienced CEO with substantial executive leadership background in manufacturing and technology-intensive sectors which
will be invaluable as Clipper enters its next stage of growth.

The Board of Directors conducted a national CEO search with the assistance of a leading international recruiting firm. Mr. Pertz, then
serving in an interim COO role at Clipper, as well as a member of the Clipper Board of Directors, was included as a candidate in the search
process. His impressive business credentials and demonstrated performance, measured against a full field of highly qualified candidates,
earned him the Chief Executive Officer post.

Mr. Pertz's background includes service as Chairman and CEO of IMC Global, Inc. until it merged to form The Mosaic Company. He also
served as President, CEO and Director of Culligan Water Technologies, Inc., Group Executive and Corporate VP of the Danaher Corporation, and
held executive positions within the energy businesses of both Cummins Engine and Caterpillar. He has been a Director of Nalco Holding Co.
since 2004, and previously served as a Director of Compass Minerals International, The Mosaic Company and Bowater Incorporated. Mr. Pertz
earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue. With his appointment to CEO, Mr. Pertz is leaving One Equity Partners,
where he has been a partner since 2007.

Mr. Dehlsen, Board Chairman said: "I have worked closely with Doug since he joined the Company as Interim Chief Operating Officer in May

already been contributing directly and effectively across all aspects of Clipper's activity."

From the founding of Clipper Windpower Plc in 2001, Mr. Dehlsen has shown a deep personal commitment and energy in guiding Clipper
through the launch of its innovative advanced wind turbine technology. Clipper has surmounted formidable development stage obstacles, to
establish a solid foundation as a U.S. based, industrial-scale, turbine manufacturer, and as a major wind project developer.

As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dehlsen will focus on corporate strategy, advanced product and technology development, including the
Britannia turbine project, and broader communication of Clipper's unique position and the wind industry's vital role in the transformation
of the energy economy.
