CLIPPER WINDPOWER COMPLETES NEW MANUFACTURING START-UP/ MANUFACTURES FIRST WIND
TURBINES IN 2006

Clipper Windpower Plc today announced the completion of 20 MW (8 units) of the
company's 2.5 MW Liberty Wind Turbines in 2006.  The first to be built at the
company's new 200,000 square foot Cedar Rapids, Iowa manufacturing facility, the
Liberty components are being transported by the owners to the project site for
installation in early 2007.  Components completed at Clipper's Cedar Rapids
plant include the Liberty drive-train, machine base and hub assemblies.  Liberty
towers and blade sets, built to Clipper specifications by outside suppliers, are
being transported directly to the project site.
