The Board announces that at the Extraordinary General
Meeting of shareholders held at 10.00 am today, the
resolution set out in the Notice dated 26 March 1999 was
approved.

Accordingly, the Company has adopted a new investment
policy and has changed its name to The Quarterly High
Income Trust PLC.

A further announcement will be made as soon as possible
containing the FAV calculation and results of the
placing, share sale facility and warrant offer.
