        Placing of 1.1 million new ordinary shares to raise #1.21 million


Centurion Electronics plc ("Centurion" or the "Company"), a UK market leader in
the field of in-car audio-visual entertainment, today announces that it has
raised #1.21 million before expenses, by way of a Placing of 1,100,000 new
ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each(the "New Ordinary Shares") at a price of 110
pence per share (the "Placing").  The Placing, by Charles Stanley & Co Limited,
represents a premium of 3.2% to yesterday's closing mid-market share price of
106.5 pence per share.  The proceeds of the Placing will be used to supplement
the Company's existing working capital facilities as Centurion fulfils its
growth plans, which continue in line with market expectations.  The new ordinary
shares represent 4.5% of the Company's enlarged share capital.


Application is being made to the London Stock Exchange for the new ordinary
shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on
Tuesday 9 March 2004.

liquidity of the shares and builds upon our existing institutional shareholder
base. Ongoing investment is key to our business and the funds raised will, in
particular, be used for our product development programme and continued
