    Charter European Trust plc announces that on 14 November 2008 it purchased, to be held in treasury, 38,500 Ordinary Shares at 165p per
share (representing 0.16% of the issued ordinary capital).
    Settlement of the purchased 38,500 Ordinary Shares is due on 19 November 2008.
    Following the purchase and non-cancellation of the 38,500 Ordinary Shares, the total number of Treasury shares held by the Company will
be 1,824,500. The issued share capital of the Company, less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in Treasury, will be 24,384,817
Ordinary 1p Shares.
