Caledonian Trust PLC ("the Company") notifies you as follows:-

1. On 18 June 1999, Leafrealm Limited, a company owned and controlled by Ian
Douglas Lowe, a Director of the Company acquired a total of 100,000 Ordinary
Shares of the Company, as detailed below:-

(i)   Disclosure of the transaction was made to the Company on 18 June 1999
after business hours.

(ii)  The transaction was effected on 18 June 1999.

(iii) The securities acquired were Ordinary Shares of 20p each in the capital of
the Company. The shares were purchased by way of a market transaction at a price
of 35p per share.

(iv)  Following the acquisition Mr Lowe's shareholding in the Company totals
9,027,582 shares or 73.46% of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital (of
12,289,495).

2.  On 18 June 1999, Bryan John Rankin, a Director of the Company acquired a
total of 30,000 Ordinary Shares of the Company, as detailed below:-

(i)   Disclosure of the transaction was made to the Company on 18 June 1999
after business hours.

(ii)  The transaction was effected on 18 June 1999.

(iii) The securities acquired were Ordinary Shares of 20p each in the capital of
the Company. The shares were purchased by way of a market transaction at a price
of 35p per share.

(iv)  Following the acquisition Mr Rankin's shareholding in the Company
totals 100,000 shares or 0.81% of the Company's issued Ordinary Share
capital (of 12,289,495).
