On 13th May 1998, Ian Douglas Lowe, a Director of the Company acquired a total
of 98,346 Ordinary Shares of the Company, as detailed below:-

(i)       Disclosure of the transaction was made to the Company on 
          13th May 1998, after business hours.

(ii)      The transaction was effected on 13 May 1998

(iii)     The securities acquired were Ordinary Shares of 20p each in the
          capital of the Company.  The shares were purchased by way of market
          transaction at a price of 42 1/2p per share.

(iv)      Following the acquisition Mr Lowe's shareholding in the Company
          totals 5,167,475 shares or 42.5% of the Company's issued Ordinary
          Share capital (of 12,289,495).
