On 16 January 2006, Commoditrade announced that it was progressing with its 
proposal to acquire a UK-based company engaged in the brokerage of commodities 
and derivatives.

The Company is pleased to announce that it is at an advanced stage with its 
proposed acquisition and expects to be able to provide a further update by 31 
March 2006. In the interim the Company's shares will remain suspended.
