       CMG secures #40 million contract from ECGD

European IT services group CMG has secured a #40 million
facilities management, applications development and
business change consultancy contract from the UK
government's Export Credits Guarantee Department (ECGD).
The department is the UK's official export credit agency
which promotes exports of UK capital goods and services
and provides protection for UK companies investing
overseas.

CMG will provide a facilities management service,
covering central hardware platforms, network management
and third party application support and maintenance to
ensure the IT infrastructure continues to meet ECGD's
needs over the next 10 years. CMG will also provide
change management consultancy, project management
resource and a dedicated help desk facility, to act as
the first port of a call for any user IT problems.

CMG will be working in conjunction with the incumbent
supplier until the official handover of the contract on
1st September 1999.

Ian Taylor, chairman of CMG's UK operations comments on
the contract win:

ECGD. We have a wealth of experience in all areas of the
contract, and in particular working with other central
government departments such as the DTI, MoD, HM Customs &
Excise. We also bring extensive experience from our
Finance division. We run a dedicated help desk for one of
the world's largest insurance brokers and our CMG:roHIRST
system is widely used by organisations in the UK and
worldwide, who are active in international trade
financing through the forfaiting process."

Eric Walsby, director of ECGD's IT services division,
said:

across a wide range of IT and business change activities.
Of critical importance was how the chosen company and its
people would fit in with ECGD staff and our culture. We

demonstrated for addressing our developmental needs over
the coming years."
