CMG plc announces appointment of Chief Operating Officer

Alistair Crawford joins CMG Group Board

CMG plc, the global Information & Communications Technology (ICT) group, today
announced the appointment of Alistair Crawford to the position of Chief
Operating Officer. Alistair will join CMG in mid July when he will become a
main board director of the Group. He joins the company following a successful
career in sales, marketing and general management for a number of leading IT
firms, including CSC and Oracle.

Cor Stutterheim, Executive Chairman of CMG, commented:

"This is a new position within the Group Board created as a result of our rapid
growth in recent years, including the acquisition of Admiral plc in 2000 and
the development of a significant additional business stream in telecom
products. The Board was keen to bring in additional experience of managing and
successfully developing consulting operations, outsourcing facilities and
product businesses. Alistair has an excellent track record of building highly
motivated teams and generating profitable growth through delivery of targeted
business solutions to customers on an international basis. He therefore fits
our bill very well and I am sure he will work very effectively alongside Tom
Rusting, our CEO, myself and my other Board colleagues."

Alistair Crawford (48) is a graduate of Oriel College, Oxford and began his
career in sales with the computer company Burroughs Machines (a predecessor of
Unisys). During the 1980s, he developed his experience with a number of
companies in software and consultancy, including exposure to the financial,
networking and telecommunications sectors. In 1990 he joined CSC Computer
Sciences as their UK Sales Director, subsequently becoming Vice President of
European Sales and ultimately UK President and Chief Executive. This was a
period of rapid growth by CSC in the UK - from revenues of #20 million to #350
million and from 220 to 4,000 staff during his time there.

In 1996, Alistair joined Oracle Corporation as Vice President of UK Consulting.
Under his leadership, the consulting arm doubled revenues and significantly
increased its profit margin, following which Alistair took on responsibility
for consulting on an EMEA-wide basis, again doubling revenues in two years to
create a billion dollar business. In 1999, he was responsible for the EMEA
launch of Oracle's Application Hosting Service. Since leaving Oracle in 2000,
Alistair has been involved in the start-up of a number of software
consultancies specialising in eCommerce, digital markets and
Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) products.

Cor Stutterheim continued:

"Following on from the appointment of Wim Dik to the Board as a non-executive
director earlier this year, we have again moved to bring additional knowledge
and experience into the Group to help us manage the next phase of our growth.
I'm sure Alistair will quickly become a major asset to the business and look
forward to working with him."
