Clipper Ventures PLC ("Clipper Ventures"), the AIM quoted yacht racing, marine
events, hospitality and training company, announces that it has raised #18,000
through the placing of 45,000 new ordinary shares at 40 pence per share.  The
proceeds of the placing will be used to assist in giving the company the
resources to further develop its core activities.

Application is being made for these shares to be admitted to trading on AIM
and dealings are expected to commence on 24 September 2001.
