Clipper Ventures PLC, the AIM-listed promoter of the Clipper Round the World
Yacht Race, the VELUX 5 OCEANS solo round the world race and Zapcats one design
powerboat racing, is delighted to announce the appointment of David Peter
Stubley as Executive Director.

David, 41, joins the board of Clipper Ventures to further strengthen the
Company's media and marketing expertise. He will also continue in his role
as Executive Chairman of WPP PLC's Performance business, which advises leading
global brands on how best to unlock value through an involvement with sport and
entertainment. Clients include Vodafone, Ford, Land Rover, BP, Castrol,
Unilever and SAB Miller. 

David has spent twenty years working in media, marketing, digital and sports
marketing after graduating in Business Studies from Bristol Business School and
gaining an MBA from Warwick University. He spent the first half of his
career working in commercial strategy positions for ITV and Channel 4 and the
second half on the consulting side of the communications business - advising
some of the world's leading brands.

 

He has worked closely with Clipper Ventures for the past five years on
commercial strategy and has chaired the VELUX 5 0CEANS Advisory Board for the
past four years.

David is currently a director of Sportent Limited and Sweden's Tracab AB, and
in the past five years has been a director of Outrider Limited, CIA UK
Investments Limited, Incline Media Limited, Fast Track Sales and Events Limited
and Europrix Yachting Limited.

David owns 100,000 shares in Clipper Ventures, representing 0.32 per cent of
the issued share capital of the Company.
