                   Clipper 05-06 Round the World Yacht Race                    

Clipper Ventures Plc (`Clipper' or the `Company'), the AIM quoted ocean racing
company, are pleased to announce that the re-start date for the Clipper 05-06
Round the World Yacht Race will be starting on the 25th March 2006.

After planning a detailed work schedule for the fleet with Green Marine, who
are project managing the repair, the 25th was selected as the first date by
which all the work could be completed to Clipper's satisfaction, the boats
re-launched, fully tested, surveyed and prepared for the race re-start.

Given the time delay in the Philippines, several stops have been removed from
the route to accommodate a more stream lined race programme in an attempt to
cut down the length of time the fleet will spend in the Caribbean during the
hurricane season.

Clipper Ventures Chairman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said:

"The safety of crews was paramount in planning, and it was important to route
the fleet through the Caribbean as soon as possible to avoid the peak of the
hurricane season. Ultimately, Clipper Ventures wanted to ensure that the crew
taking part would still be able to achieve their ambition of sailing around the
world on their selected legs, albeit in a slightly different timeframe to that
originally planned."

Clipper Ventures are confident of earlier indications regarding the cost of the
delay and continue to believe that they will not be of any significance. The
Board would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those involved in the
re-start, which is an endorsement of the crew and safety regulations in place.
