                          Statement re: Press comment                          

Clipper Ventures PLC, the AIM quoted ocean racing company, notes recent press
speculation in a Sunday newspaper and would like to confirm that the directors
currently believe that the Clipper Round The World Race will re-start by the
end of March 2006.

As soon as the effects to Clipper caused by the delay are known to the Company,
which the Directors continue to believe will not be significant, a further
announcement will be made.
