Director's share purchase

Clipper Ventures Plc (the `Company') has today been informed that William Ward,
Chief Executive, yesterday purchased 100,000 shares at a cost of 19.75p per
share.  William Ward now owns 6,014,881 shares, representing 22.71 per cent. of
the ordinary issued share capital of the Company.
