Title Sponsorship agreement for the 5-OCEANS yacht race

Clipper Ventures Plc (`Clipper' or the `Company'), the AIM quoted ocean racing
company known for the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race and the 5-Oceans Solo
Grand Prix, announces an agreement with VELUX A/S, the world's leading producer
of roof windows, as official title sponsor of the 2006 5-Oceans Solo Grand Prix
round the world yacht race. The 5-Oceans Solo Grand Prix takes place every four
years with the next race start being in October 2006. The agreed sum, payable
over the next two years, which cannot be disclosed at this time, is materially
in excess of the total sponsorship received for the previous 5-Oceans Solo
Grand Prix.

The directors of the Company believe that this agreement with VELUX A/S
elevates the profile of the 5-Oceans Grand Prix as a world class sporting
event. The agreement was brokered by WPP's sports marketing agency Global

VELUX 5 Oceans

The VELUX 5 Oceans is "the ultimate solo challenge". It is the longest and
toughest event, for any individual in any sport, taking place in a Grand Prix
series of points scoring legs between global stopovers, the course spanning
over 28,000 miles. The skippers push themselves and their yachts even harder
afloat, knowing they can use stopovers to make repairs. The pressure is still
on at the highly important stopovers where the skippers physically and mentally
regroup, fix their yachts, attend sponsor functions and raise their game for
the adrenalin of the restarts and plan new, challenging tactics around the
leader board scores. More people have climbed Mount Everest or been to the moon
than have completed a solo circumnavigation.

The VELUX 5 Oceans Race began as the BOC Challenge in 1982. It was the first
ever, regular single handed round the world race, and has been raced every four
years ever since.

The VELUX 5 Oceans Race has an enormous sporting heritage of endeavour and
achievement, including many peaks of excitement and dramatic rescues. It
consistently attracts a wide spread international entry list. The race has been
the making, and occasionally breaking, of the careers of many yachtsmen and
women. It has made heroes of little known skippers - such as Philippe Jeantot,
Giovanni Soldini, Jean-Luc van den Heede, Isabelle Autissier, Bernard Stamm and
Emma Richards, who was awarded an MBE as a result of becoming the first woman
and youngest ever competitor to complete the race.

The VELUX 5 Oceans Race 2006/07 will celebrate its 25th Jubilee year when it
starts in October 2006 from Bilbao in Spain.
