                            NOTIFICATION OF SHARES                             

We were informed on 27 October 2004 that Fidelity International Limited and its
direct and indirect subsidiaries and principal shareholders of Fidelity
International Limited are interested in Capital Radio plc shares resulting in a
holding of 9,342,747 ordinary shares in the company, representing 10.94% of the
ordinary shares in issue at 25 October 2004.

We were also informed on 27 October 2004 that Fidelity International Limited
and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and principal shareholders of Fidelity
International Limited are interested in Capital Radio plc shares resulting in a
holding of 11,113,581 ordinary shares in the company, representing 13.01% of
the ordinary shares in issue at 26 October 2004.
