                                 BOARD CHANGE

Capital Radio plc today announces that Richard Park, Director of Programmes,
has resigned from the Board with immediate effect to take up a new role as
Creative Consultant to the Board, working on key group events such as Party in
the Park and helping to identify and develop programming talent. Externally he
will continue to represent the company's interests with record companies and
media customers and will remain on the Board of Wildstar, as well as pursuing
his own broadcasting interests.

David Mansfield, Chief Executive, said: "Richard's contribution to Capital
Radio has been enormous and I am confident that this new role will benefit
both him and us by allowing him to concentrate on what he does the best and
enjoys the most. The Directors would like to thank Richard for his enormous
contribution to the Board over the last 9 years, and look forward to working
with him in this new relationship."
