LETTER TO COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENTS OFFICE

We were informed on 2 August 2000 that Millrack Limited no longer holds a
notifiable interest in 2,631,520 ordinary shares in the Company.  The shares
were held by Strand Nominees Limited on Trust for Millrack Limited.

2,631,520 ordinary shares in Capital Radio plc represented 3.24% of the ordinary
shares in issue.
